The Staff are friendly and the selection of flavoured ciders on tap is also a refreshing note.
Unfortunately, for my taste the food did not live up to the expectations: Regular portions are big and sensibly priced, but I was somehow disappointed by the chips and onion rings that came with my battered fish - on that note, the fish was good quality and seemed well cooked, but the tartare sauce seemed to come out of a tub, rather than being home-made. My friends had similar comments with their plates of food...
